To My BFF …

I don’t know if you’ll be able to read this, but I wanted you to know that I’m thinking of you and want to wish you a very Happy Birthday Babe!  I miss you terribly and wish you were here.  Yes, I can understand that Paris might hold more attraction than say, um, Whitby – but really, isn’t Whitby the City of Northern Lights?

I hope you have (or had at this point) a very good 40th.  You’re probably eternally grateful that I’m not singing to you ;-)

It’s not that bad.  Life begins at 40 …

I wish you much happiness and hope that you at last have found what you have been so desperately searching for.  Again, I wish to state, for the record, that I wish it was here.

Through Sick and Sin.  You know the rest.  Miss you.

The Tooth Fairy’s on the Horizon

This post is about how big sister Lexy is officially a big girl now and Mommy is so proud of her!

Lexy lost her first tooth a while back at her sitter Terri’s house.  She was all upset because she couldn’t find it.

Her friend ‘big’ Katie said, “that’s ok, it’ll be in your poop!”

Yuck!!

She was worried that the Tooth Fairy wouldn’t visit that night because there was no tooth to put under her pillow!  I told her it was ok, Mommy would write a note to the Tooth Fairy to let her know what happened – and sure enough, there was a present and a Loonie under Lexy’s pillow the next morning!  She lost the first one quickly because her adult tooth was coming in right below it.  Lexy’s so proud of her lost tooth and she’s speaking a little funny.  She has a bit of a lisp.

Lexy’s about to loose her second tooth now too.  She was complaining today that her mouth really hurt.  I took a look at it and around the loose tooth was blood.  Not a lot, but enough for her to freak out.  I took some of Caity’s Baby Anbesol and rubbed it on her gums and it seems to help.  I can see her adult tooth just under the gum line, ready to come out.  Her first adult tooth came in about a month ago, during March break actually, come to think of it.

This marks another passage of time.  My biggest little one is growing up.  Way too fast for my liking …

The Tooth Fairy can be seen circling our house.  She’s expected to come in for a landing any time now …
