…And Bells on Her Toes

ok … I’m sitting here watching American Idol and the same thing occurs to me that occurs to me every year – why do the judges think that the worst singers are the best?

I love … I mean I LOVE David Cook.  Not only is he a hottie, but damn he can sing.  I would be willing to bet this week’s wages that he walks away with the title.  For the record, I thought that of Chris Daughtry too and look what happened to him …

I can’t believe Jason Castro is still in the competition.  He can’t sing his way out of a paper bag.  It renews my opinion that the show is rigged.  Anyone remember Sanjaya Malakar??

If there’s any justice in this world, it will be a race between Syesha Mercado and David Cook.

And then there’s David Archuleta.  Don’t get me started on him.  Ok, he has a decent voice but really, he could open his eyes once in a while.  Tonight’s performance had the judges just drooling over him and I sat here and thought … “huh??” Were they listening to the same performance?  They tell David Cook that he wasn’t any good and they applaud Archuleta.  I’m confuzzled.  David C can sing circles around the rest of them.

Simon was right about one thing though, Jason should pack his bags.  It’s long overdue for him to leave.  I liked Brooke White, but it was her time to leave and rightly so.  She has a lovely voice, but very limited range.  As long as she was singing ballads, she was in her element.  That John Lennon song she sang was classic.  Sorry Brooke.

That’s my two cents …

Oh and one more thing … how could Rascal Flatts be in the audience for American Idol at 8:00 and performing on Dancing with the Stars at 9:00 – both Live Shows?  Maybe it was Ryan Seacrest’s snub of Joe don Rooney’s handshake … Perhaps they used Hermoine’s magic necklace that transports you through time …?  Stranger things have happened …
