Yeah, OK, I’m Tired.

I went to work today because I had a client event. If it wasn’t for this event I would have been at the hospital with Alex. I’m tired, I admit it, but the proof of this was most evident this morning.
I got the kids up after my shower this morning and gave them breakfast. I got their clothes ready and brought them downstairs. After breakfast, I told them to get their coat and boots on and I packed up my computer and put on my makeup. I grabbed my coat and shoes and hustled the kids out the door.
I kept saying to myself, I’m forgetting something.
Computer? Check.
Purse? No because it’s broken.
Cash/bank card? Check.
Backpacks? Check.
OK, I guess we’re ready. We head out to the car and something’s still nagging me but I can’t put my finger on it. I give Lexy the bags to put in the front seat and she then climbs into her booster seat and puts her seatbelt on.
“Come Cait.” I said as I helped her up and into her car seat. Cait’s giggling.
“What’s so funny?”
“Mommy!” Caity said. “You forgot to get me dressed!”
Oh-my-God, where the heck is my mind? Not only didn’t I get Caity out of her pyjamas, but I forgot to change her diaper! *sigh*. She didn’t even have socks on. Oh well, pyjama day at the sitters’ I guess….
I need some sleep ….

Just was on the Durham Region baby site and asked Carly about you as I hadn’t seen many posts and was thinking about you and your family. Decided to try to look up your blog to see how things were. By the posts looks like all is going well! I am so happy for you and your family. Most of us will never know the struggles you have underwent, the courage you have to be strong, and I think it will just make you all the more remarkable of a mother. I will continue to wish you good healing and many happy memories with daddy and his new health.
April.
